McAuley Alumni Update

In 2009 the McAuley Alumni Association began a campaign to contribute to the remaining debt owed on the new McAuley Catholic High School annex.  The campaign consisted of selling engraved bricks to be placed in the grotto area on the east side of McAuley.  The brick campaign was and continues to be a huge success.  Brick sales over the last three years have allowed the Alumni Association to make contributions to McAuley Catholic High School totaling close to $16,000.00.  As of January 30, 2012 the Diocese of Springfield – Cape Girardeau notified our Business Affairs Office that the final payment for the McAuley annex had been made.

On behalf of the entire Joplin Area Catholic Schools System, I would like to thank everyone involved in the selling and purchasing of bricks for this very worthwhile endeavor.  The Alumni Association will continue to sell bricks in order to complete other projects such as the renovation of the grotto area.  If you are interested in purchasing a brick please fill out the “Buy A Brick” form which is available at McAuley, in the newsletter or online by printing the from below.
