Why have a strategic plan?
A strategic plan is a disciplined effort to produce fundamental decisions & actions that shape and guide the direction of the organization. The plan is a roadmap to lead an organization from where it is now to where it would like to be…

Purpose of this 5 year plan is to provide the Joplin Area Catholic School Board, Administration and the Development Office with information necessary to establish a direction for growth

Diocesan requirement:
Yogi Beara said "You never know what you’ll find until you take the time to look ...Work in progress / presented to board in Oct as a draft… 19 page document

Goals:

Provide an excellent educational program that prepares our students for success in life through solid academic preparation and value system based upon the Roman Catholic tradition. Encourage and coach students to face life challenges by integrating knowledge and faith in their coping and problem-solving strategies.

Continue the work and efforts of the marketing committee to promote Catholic School System for enhanced enrollment, participation and financial support.

Maintain a curriculum that meets state requirements, all Accreditation requirements and recommendations and meet the expectations of parents and students in terms of quality education.

Provide a united effort of school and development boards to promote the success of SCRIP and the annual auction.

Develop a priority list of building and facility needs & improvements.

Develop a plan whereby, funding sources, whether endowment, life trusts, grants or other sources of money will grow to a magnitude that allows the major focus of the system to be on education, not on funding

Yogi Berra said, "If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up somewhere else." We want our efforts to be focused and purposeful.

It is the roadmap to lead an organization from where it is now, to where it would like to be …

Next step: Board will spend time with the draft plan as submitted and work together to determine the vision and direction the system will follow over the next five years. Then they will develop the roadmap to clarify how those goals and objectives will be met.

With God, all things are possible…

Believe in our system; Believe in ourselves, and Believe in making it better …
