The Root girls (one 6^th grader, one 7^th grader) moved to West Virginia for their mother’s job. Two new boys (7^th grader from Texas, and 8^th grader from North Middle School)

Teacher accomplishments/acknowledgements:

- Mrs. Svec attended a reading workshop in Kansas City for professional development. Funds for the workshop are paid by title money from Joplin R-8.

- Mrs. Minor, STUCO sponsor, will take 12 students to Lebanon, MO for the Southwest District STUCO Convention on November 4^th.

Building/Grounds Updates:

- Randy Sparks from Catholic Mutual visited St. Peter’s for our inspection. One extension cord needed replaced with a power-strip, battery needed replaced in a smoke alarm, and we needed an exit sign for the back exit of the library upstairs. All fixed. Emergency light upstairs in library still needs attention.

General Comments:

- St. Peter’s has parent/teacher conferences next Monday, October 24^th.

- We have our final Volleyball game tomorrow evening at McAuley. The 8^th grade girls and their parents will be recognized at the game.

- St. Peter’s will have it’s annual Halloween mixer 7^th hour on Oct. 31^st in the Knights of Columbus Hall.
