Band students from St. Peter’s Catholic Middle School and Stalling Music Studio students recently participated in the Mid-America Music Festival at Pittsburg State University on Saturday, April 23. The students entered 12 solos and two ensembles. The students were given ratings of I (Gold), II (Silver) or III (Bronze).
These fourteen entries earned 13 I ratings and one II rating. The two ensembles from St. Peter’s performers include:
- Clarinets – Nicholas and Sebastian
- Alto Saxophone – Nicholas
- Trumpets – Max, Joshua and Kennedy
- Trombones – James and Mikey
- Percussion – Mikey
Soloists from McAuley Catholic and St. Peter’s Middle School include:
- Piano – Genevieve
- Violin – Max
- Piano, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone – Nicholas
The students look forward to performing in music festivals during the next school year at both NEO A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma and at the Mid-America Music Festival at PSU.
