St. Peter’s and McAuley are collecting socks to be sent to St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota.

This project is in honor of the late Dr. Britt Karns, parishioner at St. Peter’s. Dr. Karns built a partnership with the school based on his family history in the area. Every year he would collect supplies the children needed and deliver them to the school.

How can you get involved:

Students can bring a package of 6 or more new socks for baby/toddler, kids, women or men to school by Wednesday, October 19th.  In appreciation for the donation, students will be allowed to participate in a “free dress day” that day.

If students do not wish to purchase the socks themselves, but would like to help, on the 19th, bring at least $5.00 (more would be appreciated) and in appreciation for his/her cash donation, can participate in a “free dress day” as well.

Proceeds from the Oct. 7th Charity Dress will purchase additional socks for the project.
