Please see the information below regarding updates for the 2021-2022 school year:

Joplin Area Catholic Schools Mission:
Joplin Area Catholic Schools provide an outstanding academic and Christ-centered educational foundation that forms our present students of today into remarkable servant-leaders of tomorrow.
At McAuley Catholic High School and St. Peter’s Middle School, we are “Warriors of Faith, In pursuit of Excellence, Lighting the path to Heaven.”
Our guiding principles are in the F.A.C.E.S. of our students.
(Faith, Academics, Catholic Identity, Excellence, Service)
As we plan for the upcoming school year we have some exciting announcements to make.
2021-2022 McAuley/St. Peter’s Focus: CURRICULUM
We are excited and blessed to announce the adoption of the following textbooks for the 2021-2022 school year:
English/Reading: Study Sync (Grades 6-12)
Click the following links for reviews on Study Sync:
Mathematics: HMH Into Math Series (Grades 6-Algebra 2)
There will be more information to come regarding curriculum and textbook adoptions.
Dress Code
You will find the 2021-2022 dress code attached to this email.
The only change we made is that we will no longer allow sweatshirts or jackets with hoods.
*We will allow royal or navy blue 1/4 zip pullovers to be embroidered with our logo (MC/StP/ or round McAuley or St. Peter’s logo).
**I will send more information regarding logos on shirts/jackets and allowable t-shirts for Mondays and Wednesday.
School Supplies: St. Peter’s
I have attached the St. Peter’s school supply list to this email. Please read through carefully as each grade level may need a different amount of each item. Although 6th graders do not need the type of calculator listed, once purchased it will be used through 12th grade.
Finally, our new English series places an emphasis on incorporating novel studies with non-fiction passages and classic literature. As we continue to strive to provide high quality education, we are requesting that each student acquire a copy of each title listed.
McAuley students will receive school supply information in each of their classes when school begins.
I hope everyone has a blessed week,
Dr. Yoakam
