St. Mary’s will be holding a “Drive-Thru, We Love You” event from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on the sidewalks of St. Mary’s on April 5, 2020.  This will be a fun afternoon to drive through the parking lot at St. Mary’s to wave and say hello to our faculty and staff from the comfort of your car, and also drop off completed student work and pick up the next two weeks of school work for your child.  Teachers will be lined up along our long sidewalk with banners and balloons to say hi, and I will be collecting and passing out new materials from the main entrance area of the school.  All you have to do is drive up and I will bring your child’s materials to you curbside!  To help the event go as smoothly as possible, please arrive during the staggered pick-up times for your child (or one of your children):

3:00-3:30 p.m.               Early Childhood (Early Learners, Preschool, Pre-K)

3:30-4:15 p.m.                Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

4:15-5:00 p.m.               3rd – 5th Grade

These are guideline times only, please choose a time that works best for your family and we will be happy to see you whenever you arrive!  If you are not able to make it to school on Sunday, your child’s items will be available in Parish Office side of our building to pick up Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  To enter the building, use the buzzer to the right of the Parish Office doors and Stephanie will let you in.  Materials will be in a manila envelope labeled with your family’s name and located on the long church pew leading to the Parish Hall.  There will also be an area designated for you to drop off your child’s completed work for his or her teacher to review and grade.  The Parish Office phone number is 623-3333 if you have any questions.

JACS is continuing with enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year. You should have received an email last evening from me which included a letter from Mrs. Georgiana McGriff, our JACS Director. In this letter she provided details about enrollment and information about new, generous scholarship opportunities that have been created by a generous benefactor for families affected by COVID-19 circumstances. The new scholarships will help ensure that all families can return to JACS schools for the upcoming school year regardless of any financial insecurities or difficulties that are being experienced right now.  Please take a few moments to read the email, and contact Mrs. McGriff or Renee Motazedi in the business office for more information and for assistance.  Their contact information is included in the email.
