2025 Highlights

Joplin Area Catholic Schools celebrated many milestones in 2025. As we close out the year, let’s take a look back at some of our biggest accomplishments:

  • Joplin Area Catholic Schools celebrated 140 years of Catholic education in Joplin

  • St. Ann’s Catholic School in Carthage became a part of the Joplin Area Catholic School System

  • A $17 million gift created the Legacy of Faith Endowment. This historic gift will remain permanently invested while the earnings will serve generations to come

  • We celebrated the academic accomplishments of a National Merit Semi-Finalist and a National Merit Commended Scholar who will graduate in May 2026

  • We saw 17% growth to our system with the addition of 40 new students in a 12-month period as well as 65 new students when St. Ann’s became part of our family

  • The inaugural Twilight Run was held at the Cross Country course on our St. Mary’s Campus

  • JACS partnered with Will’s Place to support student mental health

  • The McAuley Catholic class of 2025 received 484 scholarship offers totaling over  $21million from 61 different universities

  • Athletic Accolades include:

  • Faith formation was expanded this year through the addition of a second weekly Mass and the integration of a Campus Ministry and Service Coordinator, a position instrumental in launching our system-wide Days of Service

  • Hosted an alumni (sponsored by PST Engineering) get together in Kansas City at Boulevard Brewing Co. for McAuley Catholic Kansas City area alumni

  • Thanks to a generous anonymous gift of $400,000 along with the remarkable support of our JACS Auction Fund-A-Vision donors, we made a major contribution to the Sr. Norbert Flesch, RSM, Endowment for Staff Salaries

While we are closing the chapter on 2025, we know these accomplishments are the building blocks for continued growth and success in 2026!
